Some bitch! Frank Navetta died…

Frank founded the Descendents with Tony Lombardo and Bill Stevenson in 1979. His bandmates made the announcement:

We’re very sorry to announce that founding member of The DESCENDENTS, and close friend Frank Navetta passed away on October 31, 2008 after becoming ill over the course of a few days. This is obviously a huge loss for the DESCENDENTS family. His contribution to the band, and to music in general can not be overstated. Frank will be truly missed. We will share information about memorial services when we find out.

Among other classic albums, Frank wrote and played on Milo Goes To College which was an incredibly important and influential record that meant so much to this writer. His work and influence cannot be understated and he will be missed. He left the band and moved to Oregon to become a full time fisherman in 1985.

Voting Tomorrow?

Consider that regardless of who will be taking over or continuing in which ever office come January doesn’t make a damn bit of difference. Problem is, neither of our best interests are close to the top of their priorities. Even if they were, what about those whose best interests do not reflect our own? This is the problem with democracy and government in general.

Democracy is aggression. Whether you are holding the gun or not, when you vote to put individuals in power,  you aggress against anyone who may oppose those individual’s ideals. For if we do not agree and dare dissent, we may be forced with threat of direct violence, be it the barrel of a gun or imprisonment, to submit. Fact is fact, and this is the path you are choosing.

As George Washington stated, “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence. It is force. And force like fire is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”
